Galiher DeRobertis & Waxman has represented thousands of shipyard workers who contracted an asbestos-related disease because of their exposure to asbestos on ships that were overhauled and repaired at Pearl Harbor.

During the overhaul and repair of these ships, the shipyard workers had to disturb and remove the asbestos insulating products covering the pipes, valves, machinery and equipment that they needed to repair. These workers contracted asbestos-related diseases as a result of their exposure to asbestos dust, and were represented by our firm as they pursued their legal rights against the companies who sold these products without any warnings about the dangers of asbestos.

For over a century, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard has provided supplies, refueling and much-needed repairs for Navy warships on their way to and from Asia and other locations around the Pacific Ocean.
