Allison Aoki was born and raised in Hawaii. After graduating cum laude from Iolani School, Allison attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. During college, Allison was the recipient of the Keio University Scholarship Award and spent one year studying in Tokyo, Japan. While she embraced her studies and travels abroad, Allison always knew that she wanted to return to her roots in Hawaii.
Allison attended the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. She is the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in the Future for obtaining the highest grade in her class for Domestic Ocean and Coastal Law. She graduated from law school in 1997 and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar the same year.
Allison started her career representing victims of personal injury and helping local families seek justice against negligent individuals and corporations. She finds this aspect of her legal work to be the most rewarding. She considers it a privilege to continue this pursuit on behalf of her clients at DeRobertis & Waxman LLP.
