Generations Exposed to Asbestos
Many generations of workers have been occupationally exposed to asbestos at their work sites. Asbestos has been used in countless industrial applications and in common products for decades, thereby exposing millions of workers to this deadly dust. There are certain occupations and trades that were most susceptible to asbestos exposure, such as construction workers, shipyard workers, industrial tradesmen, electricians and insulators. Those who worked in these types of occupations had a higher risk of exposure.
